M&E Field Enumerator

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented M&E Field Enumerators to support our monitoring and evaluation efforts across project locations. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality data through structured tools such as household surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and direct observations (DOs). Your contributions will directly support the accuracy and effectiveness of project assessments and decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and capable of working independently in diverse and sometimes challenging field environments. You will represent our organization professionally, ensure ethical data collection practices, and engage respectfully with community members and stakeholders.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and neutrality in data collection.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and collect data from beneficiaries, service providers, and other stakeholders using predefined tools (household surveys, KIIs, FGDs, DOs). 
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely entry of collected data using digital data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK). 
  • Verify and validate data quality in coordination with the field supervisor or team leader. 
  • Respect ethical principles and cultural sensitivities during data collection. 
  • Report challenges, inconsistencies, or security concerns encountered in the field. 
  • Ensure the confidentiality and protection of respondents’ information. 
  • Support logistics arrangements related to field visits when required. 
  • Provide regular updates on progress to the supervisor and adhere to reporting schedules.


Must Have

  • A minimum of a diploma or bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, or any other related field. 
  • Previous experience in field data collection, surveys, or assessments (preferably in humanitarian or development projects). 
  • Familiarity with digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare) is an asset. 
  • Knowledge of the local context and ability to communicate in local languages is strongly preferred.
