The accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls, and tax laws
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitoring cash flow and performing daily banking functions.
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining a general ledger.
- Processing payroll and preparing monthly payroll tax returns.
- Completing and filing tax returns in a timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and tax laws.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Providing financial analysis and support for management decisions.
- Assisting with year-end audit preparations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
